Period 2: We will be reviewing the work on Chapter 11 and getting to any questions you may have on squares, square roots, and area. If you still have questions, please bring them to class today.

Period 5: Will be testing over chapter 11.1-11.3

Good Tuesday Morning,

Math classes(periods 3 & 4) will be taking the chapter quiz(11.1-11.4) on square roots and pythagorean theory. I will be checking for straws and string today.

After the quiz, we will be looking at estimating the height of trees.

Homework: Find the height of your tree.

Good Monday Morning and what a fine morning it is.

In math class(period 3,4,5) we are reviewing the Pythagoras theory and getting ready for the quiz covering chapter 11.1-11.3. Make sure you are prepared with any and all questions.

Good FRIDAY morning,

Another week complete! Time is flying by.

In math class we will be working on the Pythagorean Theory, finding the length of the 3rd side of a right triangle.

In period 5 we will also have the showdown between Matt and Mrs McAtee. I hope Matt has been practicing!!!!

Good Thursday Morning,

Periods 3,4,5: Today in math class we will be continuing on with our work on the area of a circle with our particular trees. We also we be looking over the homework(p.542 #2-9 and 12-18 even) on estimating the square roots of non perfect square numbers! Quite a mouth full- huh?

Period 2: In math class we will review the square root homework and then continue on with the Pythagoras Theory.

Good Wednesday Morning,

In math class we will be looking more into circles and the properties of circles: radius, circumference, diameter, and pi. We will be moving to the area of a circle. These will also be in preparation for our Project Learning Tree field trip coming up soon.

Good Thursday Morning to all,

Looks like this afternoon will be as nice as yesterday so enjoy.

Period 2: We will be continuing with working on graphing linear functions and solving equations with variables on both sides of the equal signs. How are you doing with these? Let me know of your questions in class today.

Periods 3 & 4: We will be taking the test on Chapter 7(7.1-7.6) today. You may use your flip books if necessary and also pick 2 questions of your choice for a bonus!!! Pick carefully and remember all the details and little tricks to solve equations and inequalities.
Homework: NONE!!!

Period 5: We will review the homework(page 711 #17-28) and get to all questions you have on solving and graphing inequalities. We will review for the test on Chapter 7, sections 7.1-7.6 on Friday.

Period 2: We will be going over the homework on graphing slope and getting back and forth with equations and lines and points. Be prepared to bring in any questions you may have on this topic.

Periods 3 & 4: We will be going over the homework(page 711 #19-28) on inequalities and graphing as well as balancing equations. After this review, we should be up to chapter 7 test as we are not covering the last section. Let me know today how you are feeling about being ready for this test.

Period 5: We will be reviewing the solving and graphing of Inequalities. Remember the trick? What do you do when you x / by a negative number?

Aloha,

Wow is it good to be back. Hawaii was just dreamy but nothing can be as grand as being with you folks!! I heard all good news from Mr. Plant so that was music to my ears!

Today in math class we will review the material from last week.

Period 2: We will review rates and ratios fairly quickly and move onto SLOPE and how to find slope. Slope = rise /run.
Homework: page 380 2-17 all

Periods 3 and 4: We will review solving 2 step equations. After a few examples just to blow out the cobwebs from the weekend, we will move onto solving INEQUALITIES. This is the same process, with a sneaky twist with x or / with negative numbers.
Homework: Page 348 # 22-33 all- solve and graph.

Period 5: We will review solving 1 step equations and move onward to the solving 2 step equations.

HOMEWORK FOR ALL PERIODS: Have all four (negative rules, decimal rules, fraction rules, and chapter 7 rules)of the flip books ready and in class by Tuesday. Make sure your name is on all of them.
